While the definition of an Amerasian varies, the A.F.F. defines an Amerasian as: any person
who was fathered by a citizen of the United States (an American servicemen, American
expatriate, or U.S. Government Employee Regular or Contract) and whose mother is, or was, an
Asian National.  (
Amerasian Foundation).
Largely due in part to wars such as Vietnam, the Korean War, and even WWII, many children
were born to American servicemen in various Asian countries such as the Philippines,
Vietnam, Korea, Thailand, and  Japan. In the Philippines alone, there are over
50, 000 Amerasian children.
A.F.F is an all volunteer, non-profit  organization, dedicated to the reunification of Amerasian
children from the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Japan and Korea,  with
those whom they
believe
is their biological American father, mother, or other extended family member(s) in the
USA. When possible, we provide information and resources to those actively searching for
their American family in order to locate them and  lend support in our discussion group for
Amerasians worldwide.

A.F.F. also welcomes Americans who wish to post their search for their biological child. Though
it is not our main focus, AFF has had experience with Amerasians who found their biological
father posted on our website.

He will have his own world to make. Being neither East or West purely, he will be rejected of
each, for none will understand him. But I think, if he has the strength of both his parents, he will understand
both worlds, and so overcome.

years old. AFF was able to put her in contact with her half sister and then her father. May 2008

Kimu says:
We have contacted Michelle and some of the family and would like to thank you for all the help!!!  This is a
god-send blessing and appreciate what you have done for us!!!  To me, this service is one of the most grateful services
that only a few know about that really need it.

Thank you  a million fold.  We are in the process to see when we all can meet.
Michelle (Philippines) was one of the first cases on AFF almost 2 years ago. In June 2008 her father
Pershing A. (Navy) saw the AFF website and requested contact with his daughter!

Michelle says
: Thank you so much, he sent me an email and his definitely my father, finally finally it took some time
but all worth it, you guyz are awesome, thank you so much and god bless.

Jen what do i do from here though I'm a stunned mullet at the moment LOL .....

I cant thank you enough for creating this site,  I had no expectations yet i received more than I had ever imagined,
after 31 years WOW!  I will definately have to meet up with you personally when i venture back to the states.

My mother and biological father are happy with this current revelation.

Her father says: Ms. Williams, I would like to make a donation to your organization.  I thank you very much for
helping me locate my daughter Michelle and I would like to help you keep up the good work.
Dolores (Philippines) contacted AFF looking for her father John De Marco (Navy). He was located in August
2008!

Dolores says
: I am greatly indebted to you for at last, I've found my father. A million thanks. I just hope that you will be
with me all throughout my quest to possibly seeing him personally. I phoned him last night and we talked. I am just so
glad and overwhelmed that he recognized me. He asked for my email address and phone number and told me that he
will get in touch. I am putting all my hopes to his words. I pray that this will be the beginning of our continued
communication. I will let you know about the next things to come if ever he gets to communicate with me again.
Again, thank you very much. More power and God bless you always.
Public Law 97-359 (Act of 10/22/82) provides for the immigration to the
